Hey everyone,
My name is Justin. I live in Newtown Square PA. I have an 05 TL base/nav nhbp with 175xxx miles. I have various mods done such as mid muffler/resonator delete, aftermarket mufflers, cold air intake, subwoofers in trunk and have done a lot of the replacements these cars need such as control arms, sway bar end links, struts, brake pads and drilled/slotted rotors, atf drain and fill, tune up, ac high and low port valve replacements, removed hfl and a bunch of other maintenance things. I have much more I anticipate on doing!

Welcome. There's a decent amount of aftermarket support such as high-flow precats/ precat deletes as well as aftermarket J-pipes from RV6 and XLR8 which help with exhaust flow quite a bit.

Did the ac ports go bad or did you just replace as preventative maintenance? I've never had an issue with them before.

I am working on my suspension now, thinking maybe a 04/05 manual transmission rear sway bar or a type s rear sway bar as well as new motor mounts. I am also changing the 3rd and 4th pressure switches in a few days! As far as the AC goes, never had an issue and then one day my air was not as cold, a few weeks later my air was warm. When to fill my refrigerant and heard a very slight “hiss” almost, dabbed a few drops of water on the low port and bam, it sizzled and hissed like crazy. I replaced that and all was well, next summer comes around and similar situation, this time the high port did it. Moral of the story, the valves have rubber gaskets/seals on them and with age, swell and shrink with temps I guess and just don’t fully seal like they should! Autozone for $6 I was able to get a valve tool and the valves stems!

Here is my first thread regarding suspension parts. Yes I know there are a few threwads already about these components, but I feel as if they are outdated and die hard oem or tien for struts. I wanted to shine light on the aftermarket parts that are a fraction of the cost and to me, honestly no different as far as feel goes. Let me know what you think and please comment on it if you want

I might be mistaken, but I believe the rear swaybar from the 2004-2006 TL 6MT is exactly the same as the rear swaybar from the 2007-2008 Type-S. That said, the front swaybars from the 2004-2006 6MT models, while larger/stiffer than the automatic models, is still a bit less stiff than the Type-S models.
