OP - Nice TLX. Love the color and wheels. I wasn't initially a fan of the TLX but the mid-model refresh is pretty tight. Still concerned about the transmission but I'm slowing coming around.....
Beantownbest - You probably should have posted this in the "wheels and suspension" section in the 5G TLX forum rather than Buzzgo's new members introduction thread. You can get lots of info here: https://acurazine.com/forums/fifth-g...-tlx-2015-415/
You can get bolt pattern adapters which bolt onto the hub of the car then have studs for the pattern of the wheel. Something like this:
https://www.ebay.com/i/162101868688?chn=ps
However, a lot of folks won't use them because they can be unsafe. They can be prone to failure if they're not manufactured well. And they push out the wheelbase which puts more strain on the hub wheel bearing due to the center of pressure being further out. There's plenty of guys on here who have used spacers or adapters and haven't had any problems. And I personally haven't heard of any horror stories of wheels flying off due to broken spacers. But you'll still want to do your homework on them and decide if you want to pull the trigger. And if you do, don't skimp and get the cheapest ones you can find. You'll want a good quality set that have a proven track record of being reliable. I considered spacers because the wheels look cool pushed out a bit and the extended wheelbase could potentially help handling. I frequently have my family in the car though, and don't want to take a chance at any level of unsafety.
