My 17 year old had been driving my 2006 Avalanche. The AV was a fantastic vehicle and had accumulated over 185000 miles. I drove it for the first 16000, then handed it over to my older son. I drove a VW Jetta TDI for a few years then bought a Malibu Hybrid. A truck with 12 MPG was getting old. So, after doing some work on the truck, it finally was needing a ton of work. Also, I was still paying $100 per week in gas. So, I decided to sell it. Did so, and used some of the cash to get a smaller car. Timing belt was done last month, along with oil change, smog, and transmission fluid. Though it is front wheel drive it is a nice car. I've always been a fan of Honda, and even owned a 2005 Saturn Vue with the Honda 3.5 V6, which was a rocket.
