New to me 2005 RL
Hey all...
Just bought an 05 RL with 145k miles and will be taking delivery tomorrow....car has what you'd expect for it's age with mostly interior issues. Someone replaced a control arm and painted a fender so I presume it's had at least one accident and the nav screen doesn't work...
Should be fun to clean up as a daily driver...will have pics when I pick it up.

I'm something of a DIY tinkerer with my cars...past worked on my 87 300zx turbo, and more recently my 99 S10 (this car is replacing it for gas mileage) and 98 F150.
Can already tell I'm gonna do the usual intake and exhaust and some power mods, and I'll likely do some mild styling improvements, but for the most part, I'm liking this cars appearance stock.

Have the center console pieces on order(slow boat from China). Ordered an android head unit to replace stock and figuring out a workaround for the nav screen, which has power but no signal...not a fan of the chrome on the grille so I'll probably go either matte black or charcoal with the upper and lower pieces.
Not hating the seat covers but will eventually get the seats redone, and I'm going with a split ducktail lip for the rear.

I recently just purchased a 2005 RL with very similar mileage and some similar issues. I’m happy to hear there are others who are in the same boat as me. I will probably be interacting pretty frequently with most of your posts on this forum.
