New guy 2008 TL-S
Greetings!
I’ve been a lurker on this forum as long as I’ve owned my 2008 TL-S for a little over a year now.
It’s only the automatic, but I have an endless RPM catback, and rev-6 j-pipe. I also have an AEM v2 intake, and MDX intake spacer.
I also own a 1991 Mitsubishi eclipse with a GT3076R turbo setup, HKS 272 cams and all the supporting fuel / breather mods. The tuning software I use (ECM Link) estimates the power to the wheels to be around 450. It’s an animal! The TL is not anywhere near as fast as that one, but it’s a lot more comfortable, and gets much better MPG, plus the sound system, and little luxury items are fantastic for the daily drive, and hauling kids around.
I’ve also owned an Eagle Talon, Turbo swapped BMW 325 (s50 swapped, e36), a Toyota MR2, and 8th gen Civic Si.
I just had my second kid, so having 4 doors and little bit more of an adult car is import right now, The TL is honestly great. People are always asking about the car, and I’ve caught quite a few “fast” cars off guard by how quick it is!
I’d like to eventually overhaul the suspension on the TL, maybe go with some Feal coilovers? And for sure get a good tune.
I love the TL-S’s brakes the best, they never seem to fade, and can stop the thing from over 100 MPH with ease. I also love the creamy smooth j35, it’s such a great power plant with a 1.70 rod ratio from the factory she loves to rev! I really wish there was more aftermarket support for this platform.

Welcome to Acurazine! Post some pictures of the ride. I had an automatic 2007 Type-S and found the SportShift mode to be extremely fun, and fully engaging, due to the complete control over the gears.
