Hello from the rust belt!

Hello Acurazine, my name is Brad, 22. I learned to drive standard in a 6 speed Focus SVT, but it rusted out and I had to get rid of it. I picked up a rust-free Acura TSX 6 speed because I've always wanted to own a Honda. Coming from a 2001 Taurus as a daily for the past 5 years, the Acura makes me feel like the king of the road!

If you didn't notice, the door is gray. I was adjusting the clutch, ran inside for my coffee and hear some door on mailbox crunch. Almost cried. Getting the door painted soon

I noticed that something was a little odd but didn't wanna bash the new guy already. Is there any damage to the fender? I see a gap where the fender/door meet

Fender got bent inwards a bit. Got the door cheap at a junkyard. I'll probably throw a fresh fender on it before it goes in for paint. Then I can pretend nothing ever happened

A good body shop should be able to fix it, Just make sure you do your research on the body shop you choose-lots of thieves out there

No kidding. I got a great deal on the car, so I was thinking about just having the door painted for now. Lots of small scratches on black paint so it never looks clean. If I make the door less noticable for now, I can get one of those $2000 paint corrections after I enjoy the car for a year or two. I need to replace my Taurus with another fun car before I can give this up for a week or 2

Sounds good except the $2000 paint correction. I detail cars on the side and have done lots of "paint correction". Anything over $500 is just plain old robbery. I also do not charge enough for what I do but its more of a hobby. A lot of people over pay for these services including ceramic coatings. Im in Ohio where are you located?
