hello

hi , my name is Michael from southeast of Pittsburgh . No experience with Acuras to speak of but retired body shop and light mechanics shop owner .May be buying a 2000 Acura 3.2 5 speed automatic door for my daughter , though after driving it may keep it for myself lol .The transmission recall was done after the magic date of march 2005-- August 2007 to be exact , \. Joined to be able to learn about the brand and the car , since I will largely do the upkeep in either case .The reliabilty re;orts are good on Acuras but I keep seeing a worrisome word pop up- Transmission. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, that generation of CL and TL cars had transmission issues. Otherwise, they were fine mechanically in other areas. I owned a 2001 3.2CL Type S and that car had to go through 2 transmissions.

Welcome.
