My first Acura was a 2000 TL. I bought it with 90K on it in 2008 and I drove my son all over NC and SC for travel baseball. He was ten years old, and I told him that it was a time machine, because we could "turn back the clock" and get to our destination before the GPS stated that we would. Loved that car, so I bought a 2003 TL with 90K on it in 2011 when I retired and lost my company take-home vehicle. I gave the 2000 TL to my oldest daughter for her senior year in college. It was hit in a parking lot a few months ago, and I got $1,800 from the insurance company, which she used to buy her first car, a 2014 Charger. My 2003 TL now has 188,000 miles on it, and the paint was trashed, so last summer, I got a Maaco paint job and now it looks great. My son loves that car, and I will probably let him have it for his sophomore year in college. I am now shopping for a TLX. Glad to be part of AcuraZine!
