Farewell M3, Hello Z435is, Good Bye Z4...now hello to....
a used car
well at least it has a v10 in it
Well Quick Synopsis:
Had a 09 M3...decided to try a new z435is, I liked it but I didnt like it enough so I transferred it over and picked up a 2008 M6 SMG coupe w/20k miles
I've had it for about 3 weeks now. Here are some pics from the dealer:
Interior:
Had some minor mods done:
I have most of my mods i.e. tires, suspension, carbon fiber lip etc here and the wheels should be in any day...
My goal is to make the car as nimble as possible while retaining all its relative comfort and features...The car is about 200lbs heavier than my ex E92 M3...I have managed to shave 50 lbs off thru a lighter full exhaust system and an additional 5lb per wheel will be saved with the new wheels
Thanks for looking and I will likely do a full shoot once I have all my mods in...oh yea the goal is 500whp..

Nice pick up!
Your first mod should be the interior panels. Those wood panels look hideous to me.

Thank you everyone! Appreciate the enthusiasm and the well wishes
Absolutely!
The wood is definitely a divisive option among alot of people..Personally I think it brightens up the interior and adds some more luxury to it...I can easily see how it would bother some people tho..
I'll try lol I wanted to get a 12 GTR but it was just more than what I wanted to pay at the moment...so far so good
Quick Review:
You can tell there is more lowend torque in the M6 than the m3 but it doesnt like a huge difference until you are past 4k....it'll def push you into your seat
The top-end of the car all the way to 8250 redline is insane...It picks up steam so quick up top that you hit 130mph without realizing it..
The m3 did handle better as it felt in between a track car and gt while the m6 feels like a sporty gt but can definitely handle its own when provoked/pushed...I'm hoping the lighter wheels and stickier tires (michelin PSS) will help in that department...Maybe its in my head but after putting in my full exhaust (which saved me 50lbs from OEM) I noticed a big improvement right away in terms of the handling right after I put it on...it just feels more nimble..
Oh yea, that sound.....its just heavenly IMO
My m3 sounded good but the m6 just has an exoticness that I cant describe

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Very nice OP. the wood is nice, as opposed to black and dark grey everywhere.

Fifty pounds lost through an exhaust?
Congrats on the ride! Got to drive one a few years back with an exhaust, the sound was intoxicating.
Enjoy in good health!
