Stage 2/3 in eastern MA?

Does anyone around boston area to aroudn Quincy area have done a stage 2 or 3 to their 3g TL? i was wondering how it would sound like compared to something like a G? and if someone does have it done before, where is a good shop to bring it to to get it done.

thanks

This is on my list of mods too so I'll let you know if I find a place to get this done. Once I order a RV6 V3, I'll go get this done.

How's that 26% tint working out for you? I get hassled constantly for my 35%

Definitely! Hopefully by then, I'll j-piped. I drained and refilled my transmission so no more 3rd gear BS. I might be ready to do some pulls....

I have a Stage 3 (dynomax, mid-muff delete) and a RV6 V2 j-pipe....

I'm up in Methuen if you're ever around here. You're welcome to stop by and hear it.

And yeah, it's definitely "G-ish"

I can def. vouche for bostonsilver - his car sounds much louder than a G. It sounds like an m3 with an exhaust.

I got the stage 1 done and i think it sounds perfect. Sounds very similar to a G!!! I might do a stage 2 later on, but for now I'm loving stage 1.

so i just got stage 2 done and it def sounds like a G but a lil less louder imo. if you want it as close to a G i would say go stage 3 but im pretty happy with stage 2

Stage 2 has no rasp and no drone. just sounds alot deeper and you can hear the sound at lower revs over the stock.

ok so i have one advice for all those who go to lous custom exhaust. although there are several different lous custom shops. the one i went to, medford was terrible. I brought my resonator in and when i asked him to do the stage 2 requirements the guy said there will be no sound whatsoever and it would be a waste of money. I told him i just wanted it done anyway since i lied to him and said i know a couple of people that did it which really i dont know anyone that did lol. so after 30 min it was all done and i drove off and the difference is day and night.

online someone else gave the same review of the same shop and i kinda expected it but what a jackass that shop guy was. i dont know if the other lous custom shops are alike but definetely stay away from this one.

no, i have heard very different reviews with Lou's.

I've heard great things about the one in Peabody. I myself have been to the one in Manchester, NH twice. I've had no problems with their work or attitude, although I had to wait a very long time for the work to be done.

My buddy knows the guy at medford and he always goes to him. I'm sorry your service wasn't good.

.....but you can't complain about the cost/quality, right?? That's why I'll continue to go to Lou's. They don't try to rip you off like some shops. Just be adamant about what YOU want done and they'll do it.

I agree with ya man, there's no excuse for a poor attitude or poor customer service. That always comes first.

If you're looking to sound like the Infiniti's you might be let down.
The newer ones have that distinct exhaust note because of the valves in the VQ engines. Exhaust only amplifies the sound of the engine.. so unfortunately that can't happen. Same thing with Subaru's and the boxer rumble on the STi. You only get it with a boxer engine and unequal headers.

You can definitely make is sound good though! Check out what other people are running.

my stage II sounds like a quieter version and slighty deeper tone than a G35. imo its a close call to the sound but not loud enough to compare

^ its gonna be hard for me to go anywhere this summer. working 50+ hours during the week for those mods haha and then all my friends wanna travel places for the weekend.

ill be at HIN this saturday for those who are going. ill probably drive there with my friends. ill try and park somewhere distant(i dont know what the parking lot looks like yet) so maybe soneone here can find my car easier. maybe we can plan a general time of arrival so we all have better chances of parking next to each other. hope to see you guys there!
