MA thread
hmm powder coating is expensive...but Rimpro does it and they are pricey but they do a clean ass job!!! also Wheel specialist on Route1 does it as well they are much cheaper but research them...they get mixed reviews and their customer service i heard is very shitty!!! those are the 2 shops I know of from top of my head!!!
I always use Rimpro!! I get cheaper rates from them though only cuz thru my job!! but yeah hope that helps!

I went to Rim Pro once before. They took twice as long to finish my wheels as they quoted me. I don't think I'd ever go there again.
With CMP, they finished a week before they said they would. When they were done, they worked with me so I could pay over the phone and my wife could pick up my wheels since my work schedule didn't give me time to go in to pick them up myself. They even loaded my wheels in my wife's car for her. If I still lived in MA, I'd go back there for other stuff.
There's one other place in Waltham that repairs wheels, but they paint them. They don't powdercoat. They have an awesome reputation and I was considering them when I was shopping around for places to fix my wheels after they got damaged from Sears putting on new tires.

Rim and Wheel Works was even more expensive than that. I remember that Central Mass Powdercoating charged $600 for my wheels. That was a few years ago, so the prices have probably changed. Give them a call and see what they say. They are really nice and very helpful.
Wow. Expensive. I don't know where you live, but I know a place in Derry, NH called GoodHue. They do a lot of motorcycle powdercoating, lots of wheels. They had some very reasonable quotes when I checked.

Hey Jon, welcome! I'm in Methuen. My name is Kevin. I don't think I've seen a WDP TL-S around, but I'll keep an eye out.

Procoating in Woburn, MA can do a set of wheels for $200. You drop the wheels off and pick them up the next day, ya they are that fast. Process includes acid dipping and powdercoating, single stage, no clear. Clear is extra and you need to know exactly what color you want done before hand.

Morini Performance in Springfield, MA.
http://www.procoatinginwoburn.com/
Prices vary, they do a kick ass job and it shows, damaged wheels can also be fixed, such as bent, cracked etc.
Prices start from $500 and go up depending on finish and if you want clear. Paying cash will bring your cost down $50 or so.
Central MA coating.
http://www.centralmasspowdercoating.com/
Prices range from $400~$700 depending on finish, they do a good job from what I have heard. They deal with wheels all the time so the final product is pretty good and they are very familiar with colors etc. Just like Morini performance they know their stuff.
Bell's powdercoating
http://www.bellspowdercoating.com/
hands down the best place to get your wheels redone if all you want is them to be refinished. Prices start from $250, single stage i.e. no clear for a set of 4 wheels. Wheels get sand blasted, acid dipped and powdercoated.
Hope all this help, look a few pages ago and I was in the same boat as you are now, after doing tons of research I found Bell's to be the best place to get the wheels done.

BTW here is how an A-spec wheel looks like after getting freshly powdercoated by Bell's. Wheels had really deap scratches and gouges around the lip, everything got sand blasted and smoothed down. They also were powdercoated clear after. Color is burning black also known as black chrome along with called "smoke" by some.

I never checked to see how much regular colors were and if a smaller diameter wheel would make a difference but thats a really good quote. The set up shown above was 18" with black chrome powder and then clear. Just powder coating with proper prep etc was quoted to be $250, clear was $20 extra per wheel. I highly recommend clear, most powder coating companies will state that the powder has clear already in it, its true in most cases but that clear is not a solid baked clear, its more of a luster within the color.

No, I was already in San Antonio for work. By myself. So I decided I'd find out what the weekly-meet car scene was like out there.
My conclusion: some nice cars, but the majority was really quite bad.
