MA thread
I know rimpro out of Tyngsboro, MA but they charge $200 per wheel [/quote]
yea the one that IonoJimbo mentioned, they to good work, but not sure on their prices they are def worth a call and see it they do it cheaper! I've seen them do some custom colors for an M6 and it looked pretty good and yeah its on Rt.1 south across from Santarpio's pizza after the Rt.1 turn around point and rt.128/95 entry!
on another note to bring this thread back just received and installed New England's first RV6 TrueDual Exhaust!!

limited production and I believe only 25 made for first batch! in Love with car all over again!

Yo Jeff that block is looking mighty ready for some big numbers!!
Rimpro- Even thou they are specialists and I have seen their work but the price ($180 per wheel) is just way out of my budget. I can get a set of brand new 18" A-spec wheels for the price they are thinking of charging me to do my set.
Royal Powder Coating Inc -- Based in Lawrence, MA; I was given a quote of $340 to do all four. My only issue with this company is that over the phone the guy sounded a tad, how should I say this, like he didnt know what we were talking about.
Nationwide Powdercoating -- Based out of Lawrence, MA as well, their quote was $200 but that was only to powdercoat, no prepping or media blasting as they dont have the equipment to do that on their premises.
Central Mass Powdercoating -- Based in Clinton, MA. Out of all the people that I spoke to this guy knew exactly what he was talking about, explained to me in detail as to how the wheels will be prepped and powdercoated. Price is $600 for a set of 4
, again out of my budget. I might end up taking a trip to Royal Powdercoating and talk to the guy in person to see how good their work is etc.
Last time I had any wheels powdercoated they were the 17" OEM 3G TL ones, the guy did a great job fixing all the curb damage that the previous owner had caused onto the wheels. I paid $300 through a mutual friend but sadly my friend is not friends with that guy any more
so there goes that option. Another issue with powdercoating is the choice of colors, I am looking to get the same color gun metal that the A-specs come in but the gun metal that most of these shops are offering is way darker, almost black or dark gray.

BTW exhaust sounds good, it should mellow out and the little bit of rasp should go away after a few thousand miles
If you're willing to ship your wheels, there's a guy down in VA that can powder coat them too. His sn on here is NVA-AV6. He's a really good guy and does great work. I'm pretty sure he can do it for less than most of the local quotes you've gotten.
I went to these guys after Sears in Marlborough ruined my wheels when I got new tires. Since I got a damage estimate from Rim & Wheel Works in Waltham, they quoted me more than the cost of having them powder coated. I literally lived around the corner from Central Mass Powdercoating, so I stopped by to check them out first. The people there were extremely friendly, explained the entire process, and were more than glad to bring me back into their shop to show me their work and some wheels in the process of being powder coated. They finished my wheels in half the time they quoted me (1 week instead of 2). When my fiance went to pick them up, they were even nice enough to load them into her car for her. On top of all that, one of the guys there is a Honda guy. I was very happy going to them and would definitely have more stuff powdercoated from them if I still lived in MA.

I'll be back in the beginning of August for my wedding, but that's the only trip I have planned right now. I may come back in July, because I need to come back to pick up my ASEAN bumper.
wheres our invite to the wedding! lol jk bachelor party? hahahaha let us know if you have any spare time while your up here and you can come hang out/check out our new setups
Jeff how's the RSX coming along? I've seen some of the pics on facebook.
coming along good i suppose. should have a few suprises for the meet on the 25th. just waiting on borg warner now for my damn turbo
When I took that pic, I was putting on the fuel rail and new aftercooler. At the moment, my motor is out and I have been working on a new engine harness with a mild tuck and fixing my tranny. I busted a few teeth on 6th gear on the countershaft and the metal ball bearing holder on my mainshaft bearing was broken. I figure while the motor is out, I may try and do a few upgrades.
CanAm.
That's what's good. But you're going to that already, haha.
Whenever the next Cars&Coffee is, I'm definitely going to try and go to that. I've never been, and I'm sick of having to just look at pictures of these cars.....

yeah tell me about it. I am doing my trany build this spring. PPG Straight Cuts 1-4, Stock rsx 5th, TSX 6th, Quaife LSD, and unsure but leaning towards 4.0 FD, also would getting the SynchroTech carbon synchros. So it is a pricey tranny but built to last...well it better
