I'm curious if anyone who travels in CT has ever seen a state trooper in a Camaro. I was on 84 E early this morning (like 6 or 7 miles west of the Mass border) and I saw a red Camaro parked in one of their usual in-waiting haunts. It wasn't fully light yet so I was unable to get a good look, but it seemed a funny place for anyone other than a trooper to be hanging out. I travel that stretch a couple of times a week and have never seen anything but the usual Crown Vics and an occasional Explorer or Expedition. That doesn't mean they may not have a few and use them in other parts of the state though. I know CT has a history of using out of the ordinary pursuit vehicles (years ago they had some turbo Mazda 626's for instance), so I wouldn't be too surprised. Can anyone confirm (or deny)?

I know here in NC I have seen cops using mustangs and camaros but not in red. Maybe they got custody of it from a drug arrest.

As for State Troopers, I've seen, Chargers, Crown Victorias, Explorers and Expeditions.

Do note that sometimes off duty officers will pull people over, and those cars are hard to distinguish.

I say we should make this a thread dedicated to all types of law enforcement vehicles and noteable "spots", so that way us Connecticut residents can look out for each other.

If I remember right CT uses a select number of cars acquired from drug raids etc for unmarked and undercovers.
