What sorts of races have you attended?

Just curious what kinds of events folks here have spectated at. I've been to:

F1 - once in Montreal
CART - once at Elkhart Lake
NHRA - close to two dozen times at Indy and Joliet
IRL - once at Joliet (free)
World of Outlaws - many times in my youth in Chicago area
ASA stock cars - a few times as a kid at Milwaukee

They're all cool in their own way but F1 and NHRA are hands down in a league of their own when it comes to the WOW! factor.

At some point I want to get in some sportscar races and a vintage event.

I've been to CART twice in Vancouver, a CASCAR (Canadian version of NASCAR) race, and I have tix for the ChampCar race here in Edmonton this summer. I've been to races at my local tracks a few dozen times. Drag racing is probably my least favorite, but it's fun in its own way. I think the Sprint cars on dirt are the most exciting to watch, but I'd love to get a chance to attend an F1 event some day. Last year I started racing in a budget stock car class on local short track, a 1/4 mile paved oval. I see lots of different classes come through each week - late models, IMCA modifieds, Legends, Baby Grands, etc. Gotta love the view from the pits.

Been to numerous CART races during ChampCar's golden age at Detroit, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Mid-Ohio, Houston, Dallas, and Montreal.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make it to my first F-1 race in either Shanghai or Montreal this year.

Mostly Champ Car :

Portland ( Awesome track ) 9-10 times

Laguna Seca ( Beautiful to drive, lousy sightlines ) - 4 times

Fontana ( Very fast, can see all the action on the oval ) - 1

Las Vegas ( Same as above ) - 1

Indy ( 1992 - closet finish ever, Al Jr. won )

I've also seen a bunch of IMSA, Trans Am, and others as support for Champ Car.
