Todays F1 race . . .

what can i say. made for movie script. hungry was a waste of time and money for their two teams. bizarre how it went down. BS tires don't stick, M tires do, MS saw the championship getting away only to have it within his grasp then watched it disappear, button gets his win, england rejoices, del a rosa shows JPM how to do it, Heidfeld gives germany something to cheer about. there's a job opening for a wheel man at Renault the former one is probably already face down in the sea.

except wheelman didn't do anything, Alonso's axle broke on pit exit as he went down the short chute to turn 1.

Renault is saying "wheel nut failure" whatever the frig that means. I stand corrected.

I'm almost sure I saw something fly off his wheel when he slowed down. My first reaction was the pit crew hadn't tightened the wheel nut properly. Second was how soon the poor guy who was responsible for it would be getting fired.

I guess the team has to spin the whole thing somehow, and try not to admit to messing up that openly.

Well something failed, because the wheels have that pin system thing on the nut that is supposed to prevent the wheel from coming off even if the wheel nut fails. Perhaps the pit guy forget to pull the pin, or it simply failed,...... .

the replay on the stop didn't look as thought the gun man had his arm out convincingly signalling the lollipop dude to let Alonso go. It was kinda half-assed.

Yeah, like when we used to race motorcycles and told the press "the alternator broke". We never did mention the alternator problem was caused by the broken crankshaft!
