Rubens to BAR
Well, it's confirmed on itv's site that Rubens has signed a "multi-year" deal (whatever that means) beginning 2006 w/ BAR. That gets him out of his Ferrari contract a year early. I like Rubens but believe he may have wasted too much time at Ferrari playing 2nd fiddle to MS and his championship prime years are behind him. Hopefully not though, sure would like to see BAR win a championship, driver/constructor's or both!

I knew that thread was there bro but no one has confirmed, until today, Rubens' whereabouts for next year.

Now all that has to happen is that BAR gets to retain he who doesn't know which team to drive for (Jense) to partner Rubens. I think that would be fun.

Agreed. The only better driver tandem is the Mac boys. I just wish JPM had come to race from the start rather than this fashionably late thing he's got going on.
I'm not completely sure on Jense yet but I suspect he's going to make Rubens look only a small smidge better then he looks now. I think the "common knowledge" that Rubens was so far behind Michael because of team orders is bunk and he will NOT be faster then Jense. Put it a different way - I think Jensen is damn fast and Rubens was WAY behind Michael in a lot of races because he's not in Michael's league. I think Button is a top 5 driver and poor Rubens is going to be surprised. Rubens might have been a hell of a lot faster a few years ago, but if he ever did have it it's gone now.
Ditto goes for Fisi @ Renault. The worst thing he could have done to his career is go race with Fernando. Oops. I'm thinking that this time next year both Massa and Rubens will be in the same predicament.
But then again, I could be wrong...
