"MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Tony Eury Sr. has been promoted from crew chief of the No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet to director of competition for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Steve Hmiel, previous director of competition, will now be the technical director for DEI.
During his tenure as crew chief, Eury Sr. led Dale Earnhardt Jr. to two Busch Series championships and 15 Cup victories, including the 2004 Daytona 500."

I am not sure I agree with switching crew chiefs. Promoting Tony Eury Sr. to Director of Competition for DEI is good, but not switching crew chiefs.

domn, I have been a fan since 1996. NASCAR is my favorite motorsport, but I do watch and follow when I can NHRA, IRL, CART, WRC and F1.

Busch will be another in a series of one year wonders like Stewart, Kenset...Someone else will come out of the pack next year but the DEI and Hendrick boys will be at the head of the pack with him.

You are right about Busch being a one time series champ. Next year it will be Junior that wins if his new team can mesh together. Otherwise I think Jimmie Johnson has the best shot at it besides Junior.

The usuals aka the teams that have money and resources.

I've been a Nascar fan since 85 and have been going to both cup races at MIS since 87. You can discount what Busch did this year, but keep in mind he had some terrible luck in a few races at the end of the year. The reason he won was because his team did an outstanding job keeping him in the points. I wasn't a big fan of the new points system at first, but you gotta admit, the championship was up for grabs in the last race. The young guns are taking over, and soon names like Gordon and Earnhardt Jr. will be the old guard. Geez I can't wait for Daytona.

New guys like McMurray and Kahne are quite impressive. Wait another year for Truex Jr. to get into NNC.

Wish I had the money to go. That track as well as Talladega and Bristol are the tracks I need to see a race at.

Truex Jr. is just one of many, coming Nascar's way. Don't forget about Kyle Busch... yeah another Busch. Might as well put Carl Edwards and Jon Wood in there to...not to mention these 14 year olds the top teams are signing. Little E better get a championship soon, or he never will.

It's gonna be interesting with Kyle next year... he definately won't have the same equipment as Johnson or Gordon... Khane did really well cause he had all of Elliot's stuff... Vickers didn't do so well, but he also didn't have Hendrick's best equipment.
