Monaco GP Results

Whatta great race, 12 cars running at the end which isnt' bad for this race. Button didn't even start due to the crash he had yesterday morning in warm up.

1-JPM
2-Kimi
3-Michael
4-Alonso
5-DC
6-Trulli

JPM finally gets a win! He flat out drove his ass off, shlda seen his tires after the race! Michelin had Bridgestone covered this race in a big way. Kinda looked like JPM snubbed Princess Caroline since it looked like she was going to kiss him. Instead he took the trophy from her father and turned around. Oh well. Go JPM!!

JV-the Honda done blowed up again.

Yeah he is. Jean Todt saw him test at Fiorano two years ago and witnessed Alonso on a track, in a car he'd never driven before, come within 2 tenths of Michael's best time! That's infuckin'credible. The guy is a future star, just don't know if he's gonna do it w/ Renault. They are dropping the 111 degree engine and going to a more conventional 90 which means all new engineering, unreliability, etc. He gained two spots on the run up to Ste. Devote today! Dude's got the hairiest fuckin' eyebrows I've ever seen (even more so than Mansell!)

I could finally check this forum now that i caught the race replay, AWESOME !! I kinda picked Montoya in our poll a few weeks ago, but i wasn't sure the car would hold up. Kimi was smart to take the 8 points and increase the lead. Hope the new car is as good as everyone hopes

ah dont hate on renault...

renault... with a few more hp... MEAN MACHINES.

their putting as much money into their cars and drivers right now as anyone... and they have the hottest engineering team out there.

did anyone see the show on TechTV the other day about how F1 cars are built? They toured the Renault F1 factory/wind tunnel... sick sick sick shit.

liquid... yea that was a bit scary how fast he caught up.

i have to watch again... but... i don't believe he was running 'fastest laps' at the end. it seemed more like JPM/Kimi slowed down to secure their spots... knowing it would be near impossible for anyone to pass them unless something went wrong.

I caught that Soopa. I have Tivo set to catch everything that is F1 and it picked that show up. Like building cars in a laboratory isn't it? Did you catch the chief mechanic in a white lab coat? Of course, not a speck of dirt on it. Not like any mechanic I have ever dealt with. BTW-Renault needs 80-90 bhp to catch BMW. Truthfully, I think they only need half that b/c their chassis is so freakin' great! Fast corners, slow corners, medium speed corners, doesn't matter, the Renault I believe, is the best chassis out there (yes, even better than the mighty 2003GA).

Who had the fastest lap time? I think Michael did speed up in the end, I remember one of the comentators saying how much time he shaved off the lead and his lap time

Soopa's boy: RAIKKONEN 1'14.545 had fast lap of the day. That's like 4 seconds plus quicker than Barrichello's fast lap of 1:18.03 last year!!

I think they made some changes to the track layout that helped a bit. They mentioned it during the race.

Yeah, it is now wider through the swimming pool complex and on the run down to Rascasse but it still is the same length.
