Kubica crash-VIDEO found

Well, the crash happened directly in front of us and I saw the whole thing. When he started to barrel roll, all I could think of was "I hope he doesn't flip into the stands." We went down on the track after the race and looked at the gouges on the road and in the walls. There was little pieces of carbon fiber everywhere. The marshalls had a TL and were loading it up w/ bits of the car like the wheel hubs, hoses, fittings, cable, and what looked like a brake cylinder when me and Westy walked past. We took some pics and I'll have to upload later. You could see Kubica's head roll to the right and it reminded me too much of Senna's aftermath. I really feared the absolute worst out of that crash b/c it looked like his body came partially out the chassis for a second on one of the second rolls.

It looked horrific on TV, so I'm sure it was worse live, in person. He's lucky to have walked away with just a sprained ankle. F1 has made huge progress with regards to driver safety in the past decade or so.

What did the car hit that launched it? Was it the access/cross road between the two sides of the track?

one of the reporters said that he hit the spot where the grass and access road meets. The two surfaces weren't even and it caused the car to launch...

It almost looks like his front wing got broken off before going off track, then when he hits that uneven area it just launched the car and with no down force it just takes off

now there's some tools over on the bimmerforum that are saying his feet were sticking out of the front of the car. If you look at the pics, he would have to have legs that were 6' long in order for that to happen. One guy drew red circles around what he thinks are feet that are in line w/ the "axle line" of the front tires on the car. This is an impossibility since F1 has long held a min. distance that a driver's footbox must be behind this imaginary line. I'm not arguing w/ these douchebags, it's too tiring.

I thought the same thing from some of the TV footage, at one point it did appear that you could see his feet thru a broken chunk of the front cell

He's out of the hospital (and even drove himself away). According to F1 official news , all he suffered was a light concussion and a sprained ankle - no broken leg as reported. He has to wait until Thursday before he get's the green light to race at Indy.

Yep, read that last night on the official F1 website and watched the montreal news yesterday as well. Its great that he came out of that with only those injuries.

Last last night I got all of my pictures. I took about 800 pics, plus 10 or so videos.

I dunno how I should post some of these pics,.......or if I should host a whole wack of them somewhere,.....thoughts?

Here is a teaser (sized way down,.....note the Kubica crash debris and red hot rotors):
