I'm with you on this one Red, in a big way. I rode the chair lift today w/ a guy who said "I can't believe "I'm missing two races today, an IRL race and a NASCAR race." He asked me if I watched and I said I refused to watch since Tony G. was like a little boy w/ the only baseball who said he was going home and the game had to of course end b/c he was takin' his fookin' ball too!! Of course this was when he changed the rules to accomodate his idea of Indy cars at the Brickyard to the exclusion of the "real cars." Tony did this at the height of CART's popularity causing the CART guys to run that race in Michigan (US 500 or somethin' like that) BC of him CART got gutted, created a stupid-ass series for ovals only; low tech; and created a series that draws old has-been racers like Al Jr. (who I used to think was great but is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy past his shelf life) along w/ other 40 somethings who don't belong behind the wheel any more. So they have passing cars atop passing cars, lap after lap, they have that at the local dirt track too and you'll never catch me there either. IRL=Bullshit racing through and through.
I will never, ever watch an IRL race! Oh Tony !
