And the season comes to a close. I'm still confused on Massa's penalty. Was it because he crossed the hatched area? Because everyone was crossing the single line showing the pit entrance.
I don't like Webber at all, but nice to see him enjoying the final race on the podium.

Seemed that way to me. Crossing the single line ok, crossed the hatched area,no-no. What I heard what I heard was that it was meant to be treated as if it were a wall.

Yes, Charlie Whitting warned the drivers about it in the pre-race drivers meeting. Mass was upset by it and it cost Ferrari $10M in FIA prize money since if he would have held 4th place, Ferrari would have placed second in the WCC points instead of 3rd.

I'm not a Weber fab (bit of a whiner) but I thought he did very well in his last GP, especially liked the RB radio conversation and when he took off his helmet for the cool-down lap.

Here's the photo Charlie Whitting showed to the drivers before the race. Having all four wheels on the hatched area (C-D) will result in a drive through penalty. Touching the single line (A-B) is okay.

“It’s not easy to get the HANS device away from the helmet so I spent half a lap trying to get the left hand side off,” he said.
“I finally got it there but the cars are bloody noisy with no helmet on, I know that much…
“So it was really noisy, all the vibrations and you can hear lots of things that you don’t want to be hearing with the helmet on, that’s for sure.”
“In this sport, it’s not always easy to show the person that’s behind the wheel,” Webber explained.
“We can in lots of other sports but in Formula 1 we’ve always got the helmet on so it was nice to drive back with the helmet off.
“The only time you’re seen with the helmet off is on the podium if we have a good day.
“In the last sector, I got it a little bit jammed, so I think the marshals were a little bit worried that I couldn’t turn left but in the end, it was fine.”

Thats so stupid. They already got rid of refueling strategy, now if they get rid of tire strategy we will see even fewer spots changing. Not to mention there are drivers out there that are good with tire management, with this you throw that out of the window.

enough with the stupid crap like this. They need to bring back refueling, do like they do in the ALMS where they cant work on the car until the refueling is done. Make strategy a larger part.

That's a better idea compared to this nonsense they are proposing.

What a stupid idea, one would think the IndyCar clown CEO thought that idea up.

The 2013 Constructors' Championship trophy awarded to Red Bull.

Now that is a cool trophy. The trophy has all the previous winners' logos on it. Lotus, BRM, Ferrari, Williams,...
