OMG that's huge news! I hated the rule changes they had planned for 2007. Those are all the teams you need anyways. It's not like minardi was really in the running anyways.

I guess the manufacturers just realized that there is no F1 without the engines, especially Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW.

My guess is it's a negotiating ploy to get Bernie to up the $$$

Oh yeah, that's really going to be exciting -- 6 cars in the race. I can't wait!

Damn that's huge news! F1 has suddenly become non-interesting. I loved seeing Honda compete with those three!

These races will not die, either F1 will get their shit together or even more manufacturers will move to the new series.

Arrow

This is not a new story. But F1 without Ferrari...well you know the answer to that. Hell. most manufacturers in the world go to F1 to BEAT Ferrari. Period.

Kinda pointless to have F1 without the big dog on top for people to bring down. This move has been something that these teams had been talking about for a while. I'm just surprised that they finalized the decision so soon. Guess those rule changes for 2007 really got to them.

While i agree thats its just a ploy if they do end up leaving you can surely expect Honda and Toyota to follow. Maybe not right away but eventually.

The "scare" is over. Ferrari commits past the Concorde agreement, which effectively puts them in F1 until 2012. Although Ferrari does have a great winning tradition and the only team to contest every modern (1950- today) GP, for many years no one came to beat Ferrari, they came to beat Williams and Macca. Don't forget prior to Todt and company the Prancin' Ponies from Maranello had not had a championship for 20 years!
