Man this site is dead !! Let's kick it in again. Before you know it, it will be March and we'll have F1 and CART( soon to be known as Bridgestone presents the Champ Car World Series powered by Ford)

I'd be postin' but there's no news! I check my favorite racing threads daily and all I hear is that Max Mosely wants to reduce aerodynamic capabilities in trade for letting the cars run any size tires they please, slick or not! Dat's it!

IRL blows !! CART is already working on V10s for 2005, that and the great variety of tracks and countries will keep it on top. Chris Pook is brilliant, i'd back him anytime !!

Less than that. Spring training at Laguna in January. There was going to be a second spring training for ovals at Phoenix, but they couldn't get the dates to work. Much news as to teams and drivers coming before the first of the year.

Did you see the bit about AGR maybe having to drop TK? Also a chance that Mikey may not complete the buy of Team Green after all.

I saw that Mikey rumor, my guess is that Honda will bail him out with the $$ he needs. He's lost Kool and Motorola and most of the other sponsors. For all intents and purposes, he's gonna be the factory Honda team. I'd love to see Kanaan back, they said he looked "sullen" in the pits at Mexico. Probably just realized that he's gonna be driving in circles next year

Yeah, I think TK has at least the same talent as DaMatta. He would have finished well up in the Championship if the car had been reliable this year. Unusual for a Mo Nunn car. Of course Mo is running the team now and someone else is engineering the car. The only real driving mistake TK made this year was trying to block Dixon going into turn 1 at Miami.

How cool wld that be to see CART race at Spa? My brother went to the CART race last year in Montreal and he said it was fantastic even if the cars were 4 seconds a lap slower than the F1 cars. I love open wheel racing, always have, always will.

Yeah, but if I remember right, there's 1 place to pass on that track and lots of boring races were held there. Then again, that was F1 and CART is completely different in parity amongst competitors. Portugal's supposed to be absolutely beautiful.

If Estoril happens I'm hoping to be there.

I'm still pissed at myself for never seeing a CART Indy 500. I'll never walk into an IRL race, never. Fawk Tony George, he ripped the guts out of the best open wheel racing around as far as I'm concerned or at least helped cause its present problems.

I went to Indy in 1992, the closest ever between Scott Goodyear and Al Jr. I was on the start/finish line and still didn't know who won !! That track is huge. Never been back, and i will never watch an IRL race EVER. CART is doing all the right things now and will be back stronger than ever imho. Chris Pook will pull it off, and i believe in 2005 with V-10s both Toyota and Honda will want back in.
