I was at round 6 of American Le Mans. All of the cars in the paddock were available to see after the warm up laps while the teams adjusted/fixed whatever. Every car, except for the main Acura prototype car. The front side of the tent was very narrow and they had a big plastic shield covering the entire motor area and they were working furiously. Also on the backside of the tent they had EVERYTHING covered, ALL the parts, all the tools. Strange.

That's not strange,...they dont want anyone seeing their engine et al.

Last year I was at ALMS and the Audi boys kept the R10 more or less far from prying eyes. I was told I was not allowed to take pictures of the engine while it was in the inspection area as well (I got two off). They only lifted up the cover enough to do what they had to do and put it back on asap.

Not so much strange, just I thought they were confident about the v-10 and made numerous announcements confirming it. I'm just surprised they are keeping it so under wraps so close to unveiling the car. Typical Honda/Acura style.

Just curious if it was a member/employee of the Audi team or someone working for the track that told you this. Only the track staff/management has the right to tell you what you can and can't take pictures of.

It was a member of the Audi team,...no idea what the role of that person was.

I had already gotten an engine pic, and after he told me I was not allowed to take pictures,.............when he turned back around I took another one HAHAHAHA.

I'll see if I can find those two pics later tonight.

No, I didn't see one, but I didn't search too thoroughly. I got some nice pictures. I didn't take the acura up there, are you crazy? LoL, I brought my truck. I was cringing everytime I saw an NSX or 911T driving on the grass and hills.

Why wouldn't you take your Acura up there? You should have seen how giddy I was when I saw all the NSXs and Porsches. I came in basically in the middle of the NSX pack so my head was turning like in The Exorcist.
