^^^ Y'know, when the weekend crowd was at about 170-180K that was perfect; last year it was closer to 350K IIRC and wayyyyyy too crowded.

I have people that ask me all the time when I'm going to another race, and I tell them that I've already attended my last Gran Prix in 2015.

Waaaaay too packed and I'm frankly just priced out now. A 3-day weekend is the price of a freaking day now so... my loss! Sucks but it is what it is.

 

I'm hoping to go to a GP in Europe in the next few years since I can build in a vacation around it. Plus the GPs there tend to be less expensive than here.

 

I may hit Suzuka or Belgium next year . . .

I didn't go in '97, 2020 and 2021. Yes on weather but since they moved Suzuka to the beginning of the calendar, the weather didn't seem nearly as unpredictable as it is in October.

That face on Perez's race engineer at the end of Q1 said it all. I'm just planning a wash out tomorrow.

 

It's crazy how he couldn't even get out of the 1:13s.

I hate who got p1.

 

I was thinking the that with next year's seat secured, Perez would have less pressure and perform better. Jokes on me.

Is that new deal signed? Horner better tear the contract up.

 

I see Perez as a consistent non-supporter for Max, he's never anywhere around to help the team.

 

That was a very fun race.

 

 

Now that was a great friggin' race!! Real competition is back and with more than just two teams. Just in time for the Concorde Agreement to change again in two years.

 

so true. I'm happy to see a third team enter the competition (I don't count Ferrari, they always screw up).

Haven't watched the race yet [been out of town all week] but saw the results.

 

The race was a lot more exciting than the results appear.

 

Finally watched the race over the weekend. Probably the best race of the season, maybe the last 2 seasons.

 

It was a matter of luck, they're gonna be toast on high downforce circuits
