All depends on Damon’s SkySports TV commentary obligation first. So far so good though.

I was never really a Hill fan but I did admire the way he fought with Schu and company.

I'm a Hill fan due to his personality and gentleman/sportsman approach to racing.
Not one of the greats but made great use of the cars he had.
Also one of the most down to earth F1 drivers out there.

^ That's the impression I get of him from everything I've seen of him. Wasn't watching when he was racing live, but have seen his commentary & read some in a few F1 related books.

Never a fan of Hill because he was the enemy. I was a huge Benetton fan back in the day.

Maybe those qualities come from being the son of a former champion? Growing up and watching and hearing your father talk about proper racing must have a knock-on effect of some sort, ditto Nico. He was similarly polished but tough when he needed to be. When my nephew and I met Nico in Montreal he was very kind and nice enough to pose with Brendan after some small chat between sessions.

Should F1 Go Back to Watkins Glen?

Know a couple people who saw F1 races in the late 70's to 80

IIRC, WG doesn't hold a Grade 1 cert to host F1.
Not sure how much $$$ it would take to get it to F1 standards, @Chief F1 Fan ?

There's also the infrastructure issue with WG. I've never been to WG, but I'm going to guess that there is not enough accommodations nearby to host a modern GP. It could be like the Pacific GP from the 90's where everyone was shuttled back and forth for hours every day to hotels. And I'm going to guess that most people would have to fly to Buffalo or Rochester, which is relatively far from WG.

We wouldn't have a problem though. We'll all bunk at Chief's brother's house's garage.

No. Unless you mean NASCAR being the owner of the track paying F1 to come; it won't.

Not much, the Glen is very close to Grade 1 standards and not a big stretch to do it.

Infrastructure: there is very limited hotel accommodations and unless the bulk of the people attending camp (F1 folks don't do that) there's going to be a big problem. Buffalo is 2 hours away/Rochster is 1.5 away.

My bro wears a shirt he had made for "Coffee with the Prez" where he hosts anyone who wants to attend coffee, donuts and convo and he makes himself completely available to hear comments and feedback from fans. That shirt sez "No, F1 won't be back" and it won't unfortunately. As we know, F1 is beyond local attraction instead becoming country attractions and requiring hundreds of millions of dollars and a multi-year commitment. It's sad because WGI is probably the best suited F1 track in the country otherwise. The history is incredible here.
