Great timing for internet and cell outages across most of the country when I needed to make a pick. Knew I should have made a safety pick yesterday. SMH

That's why I always make a safety pick even before the circus arrives at the track.

Yeah that's always a good idea.

Don't worry. There might be a first corner wipeout tomorrow and everyone who made a pick might get zeros.

Q3:
Luckily, both looked like relatively 'soft' impacts.

I liked the camera panning to the Mercedes mechanics after Russell crashed out. They were like "it's going to be a long day."

Crazy to see pieces being thrown through the Ferrari engine cover. Can't recall a catastrophic failure like that since the V6 came about in '14.

This needs to happen more. One of the huge downside of the last decade was increased reliability. I want chaos!

It was an exciting part, of a surprisingly good race.
The was that it was quickly becoming engulfed in flames, which Carlos was trying to get out & it kept rolling away. Even the chock the marshal threw under it didn't seem to do much.

I was very dissapointed that the tv director changed the camera from the burning car to Binotto. Were they keeping it safe in case someone got hurt? Like they never show the after shot of a major crash until they know that the driver is okay? I don't really agree with the decision to not show how Sainz escaped the car. Let's face it, the whole race is dangerous. A burning car is not as dangerous as going through 130R at full speed.

Regarding the race. I think the closing stages were very exciting. I'm of the opinion that RBR would maybe have pitted Verstappen one extra time at the end of the race. However, the final virtual safety car forced Leclerc and Verstappen to both pit, therefore negating any potential differences in race strategy.

Makes sense, same with Zhou's crash, they refrained from showing replays until he was confirmed ok/removed from the car.
Crazy how quickly a small fire spread to a roasted Ferrari.

for whatever reason, RBR's cars were burning up the rears a lot faster on Sunday than they were on Saturday. I thought for sure Ferrari was going to get smoked yesterday, well, one of them did.
