I'm pretty surprised that we got through FP1 & FP2 without a red flag & only 2 (that I noticed) brief yellow.
It'll be interesting to see how Q1 goes, and moreso the first lap or 2 of the race with all 20 bearing down on T1.

Edit: Spoke too soon, just saw the red flag carnage at the end of FP2.

Oh man… that was an exciting Quali.

 

Max was on a terrific lap and f'ed up his car big time. transmission got trashed and he grabs a penalty too. I'm no LH fan but I'm less of a Max fan, besides I want to see him grab WDC 8.

I was hoping for grid penalties for both Max and LeClerc.

 

How in the hell does max get driver of the day?? That was likely the least enjoyable race I've ever seen with all the VSC's and Safety Cars, starts, penalties, jeezus . . . . .

I think ... if I counted correctly .... you and I are tied, civic is 0.5 points behind and R J Poseidon is 3 points from T-3. So now, 3 points covers four 3rd-place contenders.


We'll have to wait for official scoring to see if that's correct.
