okay, obviously something happened because I watched FP3, took my dog for a walk, watched the news then made my pick, right before breakfast and qualifying. Asking the fellow competitors here if they'll allow my Gasly/AT pick to go forward. Please and thanks! @TommySalami @civicdrivr @00TL-P3.2 Whaddya think?

It doesn't matter to me. I don't think I could catch you even if you score zero points from here on out. F-C is the arbiter of the rules (and this one is pretty clear .... although, I believe you did exactly what you say you did Chief) and Tommy is the one most likely to be effected.

IMHO, it comes down to what those two want to do.

Mathematically, I think I could catch you, but I know I won't given my available picks. I'm fine with it, but I'll leave it up to @TommySalami and @00TL-P3.2

Max has a 5 place grid penalty for not slowing for the double yellows at the of Q3 yesterday. Bottas got a 3 place grid penalty for the same.

Gasly starts P2.

Chief: 0/0 well that settles that debate. How in the hell does Gasly go from 2nd to 11th? Poor strategy obviously

Priority given to Max & Perez, completely obliterating their strategy.

Terrible week.

Thinking back, Gasly was I believe, the only one to start on the softer tire in the top 10 bc that was the tire he had on when he crashed. Perhaps if he would've gotten another run in Q3 he could've/would've fitted harder tires on the car.

He had his blow out in Q3. Another run wouldn't have helped.

He also had to pit earlier than everyone else, so I'm sure that screwed his strat.

Not to be harsh but I've missed picks in prior seasons because I was accustomed to getting the reminder email and it wasn't sent that week, and I was told "tough shit," so I think collectively we need to decide whether we're lenient or stick with "tough shit" for all situations and be consistent with it.

I think Chief will be ok with the tough shit stance since his pick amounted to 0 points

I would like to think I'd surely say allow a late pick amongst a top 4 placed season-long game when there's only 3 races left which is the only reason I asked.

Im fine with allowing a late pick as well honestly, as long as that privilege is applied equally to everyone, not just a frontrunner at the end of the season. The points matter the same at week 20 as in week 1 after all.
I also think we should drop everyone's lowest two scores so that a week like this isn't as important. But I guess in reality the teams have to eat it if they get a goose egg one week, so either way makes sense to me

thoiboi wins five races in a row! This is probably unprecedented in the history of the fantasy league. How is he able to do this? BIG MYSTERY!

Now if i could have just committed myself earlier in the season i may have been in contention . Oh well. There’s always 2022 where i will wait until the end of the season to pick HAM/VER again

We used to drop the lowest score weekend. If people want, we can bring it back.

I'm 50/50 on dropping scores.
Yes, it helps if you have a bad race, but it can really hurt if you've had a good run all season.

We could spice it up & drop the picks from 4 to 3, force some midfield running in the late season.

It'd be interesting to reduce driver picks to 3, but keep teams at 4 (since the team picks always run out first).

Historically, the reason we increased it to 4 was because when we had it at 3, we ran out of the top drivers too quickly. Verstappen and Hamilton collect 90% of the points. So once we got down to the end of the season, the ability to gain points became very hard.
