2018 Formula 1 Fantasy League- Grand Prix of Azerbaijan
Picks go here. Reminder, pick both one driver and one team for the race. You can only pick each driver four times and each team four times the whole season.
Picks close at 9 am EST April 28th, or prior to the start of qualifying, whichever comes first.
Only picks placed in this thread will count.

The Pink Panthers did pretty well, too, as did Willliams (relatively speaking) ... Put that down to the Merc-PU's party modes? Still, Williams are already tempering expectations for the rest of the season ....
Feel bad for the Hulk and Grosjean and their gearbox issues ....

McLaren=the worst of the Renault-powered cars. No excuses now that they've ditched Honda.

Briatore, also in Baku for a rare F1 visit, still oversees the management of Fernando Alonso's career.
And the flamboyant Italian hinted that Alonso may finally be tired of waiting for McLaren to shine.
"Very bad," Briatore told the Movistar broadcaster when asked how McLaren went in qualifying in Baku.
"They should give Fernando a TV in the car so at least he can be entertained in the race.
"Will Fernando stay at McLaren? I don't know," he added. "But with an engine like Renault's - a very good engine - the team must improve.
"Last year the problem was Honda but this year I don't know. The problem is that the car is too slow," said Briatore.

I was psyched watching Hulk slash through the field early on. It was a shame it ended for him. RoGro? What a blithering idiot and the reason why I never pick him.

sure wasn't looking like a Force India race after qualifying yesterday-good to see Checo up on the podium.

When asked by Toto Wolff during the Mercedes team boss's own post-race media session what he would do if he was in charge at Red Bull, Lauda initially joked: "Go home and cry!"
He then added: "For me it's 70% Verstappen and 30% Ricciardo [to blame]. If you [Verstappen] move on him all the time where [does] the poor guy have to go? It's a very simple thing."

At least my switch from Red Bull somewhat paid off.

I'm with you cu2wagon-I expect every new driver to be erratic and RoGro lived up to that expectation fully. Unfortunately, he has not outgrown it and rarely shows even occasional flashes of brilliance. He's a 3rd, possibly 4th tier driver in my book.

Yet another win for cu2wagon. cu2wagon has won 3 out of the 4 races, and the only reason he didn't win the other race was because he forgot to place his picks in on time.
Special shout out to icy2 with an inspired pick of Perez and Force India.
