quick tax question...

this is my first time doing my own taxes...got a quick question...hmm the enter button on keyboard just stopped working too....................anyway, I got to a point filling out my return where it says______________________________________________ __________________________________________________ "Estimated Federal Payments and Refund Applied to 2003 - Estimated payments made throughout the year and any portion of your refund from 2002 that you applied toward your 2003 taxes."___________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______________Does this mean I type in how much federal tax was I already paid this year out of each paycheck? I checked this box, and then it asks for how much tax I paid each quarter, and on what date. Its taken out of my paycheck biweekly, do I just add that up for each quarter? Or am I on the completely wrong track here?_____________________________________________ ________________________thanks

That is for self-employed folks...

They pay estimated tax on a quarterly basis.
