Looking for loan to pay off credit card debt

When I was younger,I went a little crazy with getting credit cards. I have about $16,000 in credit card debt. I want to see if I can get a loan to payoff all of my credit card debt.I do not own a home.Does anyone know where I might be able to look for this?

You can try getting a personal loan, but unless you have some sort of collateral (like a car), you'll probably get raped on the interest rate. You could also try a debt-consolidation service.

As long as you have a steady job you should be able to get a loan, at least I would think.

A $16,000 unsecured loan would be hard to get.

If your credit is some what decent, try getting your interest rate on your CC's reduced. They will usually do it if you just call them. You could also try getting one of those CC's with a low introductory rate to pay off the principal faster.

Regardless of the interest rate, unless you want to be paying that off till you're 60, you need to get a loan. Maybe a family member can co-sign for you?

a bank will not loan $$ w/o collateral, and if you are asking this question i am going to guess that you have been late with a few payments over the past few years
