Best credit card with cashback for college students?

Hey guys, just wondering, but can anyone recommend a credit card that has a high cash back percentage? I'm mainly using the credit card to buy books, get gas, and groceries... which is all I really spend money on.

I was thinking of getting the Citi Dividend Platinum Select card for college students... it has a no minimum income, so that's great for me since I don't work at the moment. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Look into Discover, and Chase Citi is a rip off, and they close to going belly up but were saved by the government.

I use American Express Blue Cash.

You get a higher percentage for "everyday purchases" like the ones you are describing. I think it is 1.5% until you spend $6,500. Then you start getting 5% on the everyday purchases and 1.5% on everything else.

If you can get approved for it, go for American Express's Blue Cash.

The Blue line of cards do require a pretty solid credit score/history though. I wouldn't have been able to get one if my parents did basically start establishing credit for me when I was a in diapers. I have the Blue Travel. (I kind of wish I would've gone for Blue Cash now....but I figure I'll have enough points to go on a pretty bangin trip once I'm out of college).

Thanks guys, I'll look into those!

I only have about a year and half of credit history... I hope Blue Cash is not out the window for me!!

If you are a "revolver" and plan to carry a balance each month pay close attention to the APR... there are a lot of sneak variable rates out there.

I have to agree the Amex blue is the best with Capital One coming in a close second. They have been sending me a lot of double point offers lately.

Capitol One FTMFL.
Their customer service and card management sucks balls.
I left their ass for the AMEX Blue Travel I have now.

I'll never look back. AMEX has the some of the best customer service reps I have ever talked to......almost anywhere. Not just credit cards.

I hear ya, LoL, I was only focused on the points aspect.

I agree that Amex's service is the best by far.

Its hard to find one place that does everything right now a days.

To give credit where credit is due though, the triple rewards thing did help in accumulating points. I drive alot, so gas was one of my categories. I had enough points for gift cards really quick.
