I stumbled upon this guy today, Robert Kiyosaki. He seems to have a unique view on investing. Basically telling everyone that "work hard, save money, get out of debt, invest for the long term, and diversify" is bad advice. I don't know how to take it. He seems to talk more about what not to do than what to do.
Two articles I read so far:
http://finance.yahoo.com/columnist/a...ichricher/2188
http://finance.yahoo.com/columnist/a...ichricher/1962
What does everyone else think?

He is still beating the dead horse of Rich Dad Poor Dad.
The Poor dad is supposed to be his real father that told him to get a job and work for the man his whole life. He ended up being "poor", which I assume means not a multimillionaire.
The Rich dad was his friends father that would rather own the business and own the real estate. He became very rich.
There is a lot of controversy over his book. He has never proved that "rich dad" really existed. I read the book. It's a good read and tells you some good things. However I don't think its the non fiction he spins it to be.
In short, he will tell you to get into real estate or own a business.

i.e. Chances are that you will fail a couple of times.... learn from your mistakes...yada, yada,yada....
The fact is, he is getting rich from selling you the books about "becoming rich".... nothing more...

He just spoke at a training for the business my wife and I are in......Arbonne International.....
Most of his stuff is "common sense" information, but maybe some folks just need to "hear" it from a celebrity....
