(NASDAQ:AMD) on Tuesday, purchasing 72,848 shares of the chipmaker at an estimated valuation of over $5.5 million based on Tuesday’s closing price. AMD shares jump 8% to highest close since 2021 on AI chip demand
- AMD shares are trading at their highest since reaching a record in November 2021 and are about 2% below their all-time high.
- Tom O’Malley, an analyst at Barclays, raised his price target on the stock to $200 from $120 in a note Tuesday.
- He said AMD could post $4 billion in AI chip sales this year and cited strong demand for the MI300, the company’s highest-end machine learning chip for servers.

Am a long-term investor. I first invested in AMD in the early 80s from advice i got from a high school bud who was working in CA at the time in the aircraft industry. Some of the best advice I got. He's now an exec with the company (not AMD).

Nvidia To Increase Dividend 150%, Effect Stock Split
Nvidia more than doubled its quarterly dividend and said it would enact a stock split to make its shares more accessible.
The chipmaker declared a dividend of 10 cents a share, up from its previous dividend of 4 cents a share.
Nvidia also announced a 10-for-1 forward stock split, after which the dividend would be 1 cent a share.
The new payout, equal to 40 cents a year, represents an annual yield of 0.04% based on Nvidia's Wednesday closing price of $949.50.
The company said that the split was meant to make ownership of its shares more accessible to employees and investors.
The dividend will be paid after the split becomes effective, which is expected June 10.
