Got a 08 TL...Looking for other owners located in the Wichita area.
Just replaced a my Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with this thing....Going to be an interesting car to work on.

Reviving an old thread here, but I'm pretty new to the Wichita area. Looking to integrate more with the acura/honda community

 

I've seen some modded TL's and RSXs here in wichita, but it seems like none of them are connected into Acurazine.

It would be really cool to have a honda/import car club in wichita. There's none that I know of or could find.
After the large turnout at Import Face Off 3 months ago, I'm sure there's enough possible support for it.

 

Yea it's hard to come by an import group in Wichita, they've GOT to exist. I know lots of the guys with s2k's/350z's/evo's, but no ones really organized into a specific club.

 

I'm looking into the possibly of organizing a Honda/Acura Club here in Wichita.
I'm still fairly new to Wichita but I know two people that would share an intrest in helping set this up.

As far as accreditation, I don't know how that would work since none of the Wichita car clubs are "Import" in any way. I don't know who would sanction and Import car club.

I'm meeting with someone I know next week to discuss setting this up and getting the ball in motion.

I'd be interested for sure, but I'm clueless on what's involved in being officially recognized.

No BS, but I believe you are facing a rather difficult task here. Trying to organize a car meet/club not on 1 specific car community is gonna be next to impossible. First thing I would do is put a "listing" in your local paper (I know in KC we have a special spot for car clubs) and see where that gets you. Second thing you could do is get some business cards or flyers and stick them on cars around town that you think might be interested in a gathering, i.e. modified imports and such.

I wish you the best of luck and you are for sure welcome in KC for our little "meets". Its hard for me to get the knuckleheads around here on this site to meet up, let alone people that I dont know.

 

If it were possible I'd like to keep it in the TL zone. I don't think that is possible so I would like to expand it under the honda brand, not so much ALL imports.
But yes I see what your're saying.

im located in wichita ive had my TL type s for almost 2 years and its currently pretty much bone stock but come this winter thats gonna change.. i wanted to lower and get wheels and what not for some time now but wasnt able to with a kid on the way at the time and buying a new house.. now its game time!!!

coilovers and wheels for now i already tinted the windows and have a stereo system in it

 

Pretty new to the site, but been in wichita for a bit now. Was at a car show a few weeks ago that seemed to have a nice turnout of people.

 

We're you the one with the TL that had the A-SPEC body kit on it??

 

oh gawd I wish. Nah I got a red 2000, sitting pretty stock ATM, just been working on getting a Pioneer AVH-4400BH working right.

 

I just put on full aspec kit on and extended wheel studs,cross drilled/slotted rotors,blacked out grill, cold air intake, amber fog light covers with 6k hid... Coilovers sitting on ice downstairs with a new set of varrstoen 3.3.2 19x9.5 +22 offset wrapped with 225/35/19... Now just waiting till spring to slam it and put wheels on... If any of u Wichita guys wanna meet up some time hit me up 316-992-7486

I might be trading in my volks for a set of 18x8.5 refinished aspecs. But we should keep in touch. Come spring we should get together and do a shoot to represent Wichita members!!

I know Ky loves twin peaks, I've seen him literally burn rubber across lanes of traffic trying to get there lol.
