Arrow OHIO License Plate Change - April 15, 2013

We are finally getting rid of the ugliest plates in the U.S. !!!

Old:

New:

I will be there on day 1 to pick up my new plates. These farmville plates are the ugliest plates I've ever seen, and honestly I feel they ruin any cars visual appeal. Up close, they look like a children's TV show. From far away, they look like a piss/puke stained plate.

As a bonus, the Red will match perfectly with the TL-S logo.

Easiest mod yet, a new license plate!

I actually absolutely hated the farm one at first on my BLACK TL, but from a distance >8ft (just about the only way anyone sees it) I came to appreciate the splash of color. I wouldn't trade it for any other state now, save New York.

The reason New York is awesome, is every time I see one I think it is a DUI convict. It's almost exactly the same as Ohio plates for the DUI convicts. lol

New plate is absolute crap. I think every state should be legally required to offer whatever variation they want PLUS a plain variation of blue/black lettering on white background like euro plates. Then you always have the chance to get out of whatever the trend of the day is and go plain

does anybody know if you can just pay for the new plates? I just had to renew mine two weeks ago for my birthday and they are vanity. I want to switch but not looking to spend a ton more money as I already had to spend like 2 hundred plus for all my cars with the one being vanity

New plates are much better looking. Now Ohio needs to do get rid of the front plate law.

Try calling your local DMV/Tax collector, they'll have the answer.

AGREED. I would love to get rid of my front plate

To say they are ugly is fine, but to compare them to the complete yellow/puke crap that is the Farmville plates is ridiculous. Most plates are viewed from a distance of 5-20 feet, and the red/blue/white CLEAN plate will look much better than the super detailed, sunny, farm plate.

I need to start rocking the front plate, but it looks so good without one.

I've been contemplating going without the front plate, but I already have 15% tint all around - do I really need another excuse for cops to pull me over?

Just bought my TL last week and had to slap that fruity colored plate on. I welcome the new one with open arms.

Now it might be easier to identify the terrible drivers! :gheylaugh::gheylaugh:

But seriously, why are Ohio drivers soooooo bad? Whenever I drive through Ohio on the highway I get stuck behind two people driving next to each other going the exact same speed. Do they not know that the left lane is for passing!??

This isn't an exaggeration, this literally happens to me EVERY time I go through Ohio. If you're going to drive the exact speed limit stay the hell out of the passing lane!!

No, they literally don't know this. I get it all the time and I'm in Ohio, drives me nuts. I end up passing on the right a lot, and then honking at the morons half the time because I can't stand the stupidity.

I guess it's not enforced or taught in driver's Ed, nobody seems to understand.
