My TSX got hit hard yesterday by a hail storm with hail stones up to egg size. I have dents covering the hood, trunk lid, and roof as well as some on most of the other panels, a few dents in the window trim, and a windshield with multiple large cracks.

Right now I am waiting to hear back from my insurance company, but I am new to Columbia, MO and have never used any auto services here. Can anyone recommend a place that does good work. I could also get it worked on in STL , but again, I have never had to have any of these type of repairs done before so I have no idea where to go or at least where not to go.

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

 

Well I am still waiting on an appointment with the insurance adjuster, but I went to the only place in my area that specializes in paintless dent repair and they determined that there are too many dents to repair the hood, roof, and trunk so all of those have to be replaced along with the windshield, 3 out of 4 chrome side window trims and other mouldings for a total of $8500 and at least 3 weeks in the shop.

When I get the chance I will be going to Saint Louis to check out some other body shops and will get the work done in the area. If you have some experience with any of the shops in STL, please let me know about them. I have been lucky enough up until now to have never needed any body work and have no experience with these kind of repairs.

McCollins - Thanks, I am mainly going to STL for the work to be able to borrow a car from my parents while mine is in the shop for the estimated 2-4+ weeks, otherwise I could have checked out some places around KC.

JayWolfe - I have had two places that specialize in dent repair look at the car, one in Columbia and one in Saint Louis. Both places determined that they would not be able to fix it by paintless dent removal...unfortunately the roof, hood, and trunk lid will have to be replaced so I am trying to decide on a body shop. Without any prior experience with this type of work I am left to rely on internet reviews and word of mouth recommendations which of course makes me nervous since I am such a perfectionist and I know most people wouldn't notice the little things that I do.
