id rather not talk about those! Although Thursday we had a crazy snow squall that leas to a 60-90car pile up on one of our main freeways.

you folks seem just as active as us Canadians. We will get along fine :p

 

We're supposed to get snow this weekend...and it was 50 degrees yesterday. I realllllllllllllllly hate this place lol. At least back in New Orleans I knew what the temperature would be..all the time...hot.

 

It just snowed up here in Canada! Thank god I already live in an igloo

 

Hi Guys: I keep up with this thread, but rarely post. I plan on coming up to the national meet this summer. Had a real good time last year (in spite of breaking my specticals). I missed Friday last year, and wished I wouldn't have (sounded like it was a fun party). The CL repaint has been put on hold due to financial constraints (maybe next winter). So I will have to bring my wifes TL (or an ancient domestic muscle car) instead.

Look forward to seeing you guys again this year. Fridays are fun we usually go grab some BBQ and then cruise to get ice cream or something of that nature.

By June snow will be a distant memory and by the end of July you will die for a snow cone around here

Not new to Acura or Acurazine but I am new to the meetups.

I wont be in town on the 9th but I will keep an eye on this thread for the next one.

 

If there was a meet to unorganize I would do it. This just sounds like people coming over to you place (how handy). We are just a couple of weeks away from warmer weather how about we wait til then and plan a true Meet where we go somewhere and do something. We do need to get cracking on helping Steve plan the National Meet. If he chooses to have it at your place thats fine, if he wants at his place (which was where we planned for it last year) thats fine as well. Sounds like you guys need to talk it out. I dont think you would like it if I just up and planned a meet 40 miles away from your house on a whim without consulting everyone first. I expect the same thing

A couple of local friends are planning an Automotive Scavenger Hunt this spring. I will keep everyone informed on when it is.

also the only reason why I opted to host was because of the kid. I feel terribly guilty leaving Saritha at home and coming out for a meet. The kid is 5 months and she has been out only ONCE by herself...I have been out a dozen times and its just not fair to her....if we plan a meet outside, I dont think I can come out for more than an hour (our meets last longer than that) just because of the kids feeding schedule. He feeds 20 minutes every 3 hours. So by the time he feeds, we burp him and leave home, its 40-45 minutes. Then another 15-20 minutes to drive anywhere. So I will have to leave in an hour or hour-15, so we can get home and get ready to feed him again....


nothing has been planned for months (I understand the weather thing) but if people want to come out of the cabin fever, whats wrong....why not gather to have a meet now and meet again in couple weeks (couple weeks for you is more like a month-ish)....the whole "lets meet when the weather warms up" leaves us with nothing for over couple months...am not asking you to drive in inclement weather and come over....and if you and Steven are not going to make it, let us know so we can meet on Saturday instead when the weather is going to be in the 50's.

I just texted with Jim Mattson at Jay Wolfe Acura.



He has confirmed that our weekend of June 6, 7 and 8th is confirmed and official. This will be the date of our National Meet this year.







We can meet at Anil's or at my house this Sunday. I'll let you guys argue that out........


Just let me know where you want to get together. I'm suggesting around 1pm. Open to other suggestions.

 

^^^ I dont think Matt has a problem with ONLY the location of the gathering....he has a problem with the date AND day chosen, the weather, the drive and now possibly the time LOL....

I am going to text Dan and Sean since they dont get on here much. I am hoping Sean will come over and we can convince him to do the registration (and all the fun stuff again) OR if he has definitely made his mind, we will need some help from him to get the spreadsheets/etc which he has spend a lot of time making. Hopefully that will help us in getting the registration and judging going smoothly this year as well.

Steven, let me know if Rhonda is going to join you when you come over. Also is Jim Mattson going to join us like he did last year? Please find out and update the list brother...

I just texted with Buda. He says he is swamped right now. He will be out of town this weekend, so do not look for him to be at Swooshie's house on Sunday.

I'm down for Sunday @ 1:00. I prefer Steven's house because I can walk there but Anil's house just has "so much room for activities!!!!!!!" I'm fine either way. I am also game to help out in whatever way I can this year. Let's get this shit crackin guys.
