Anyone know of a good/cheap place to get car tints in the northwest suburbs or chicago?

 

My client referred me to the guy that does tints for MotorWerks of Barrington. I have not personally used him but he's doing $100k cars all the time so I'm sure he's good. Let me talk to him see if he's interested.

That will help cause I want to do my TL & my brother in law wants his Maxima done. What % are you gonna do?

 

they just changed the tint laws in IL so i will go 35% all around. I had that in my CL before and it was dark enought to keep it cool. I want to go 20% but i wont be able to tint the front. If they have something like 30% then ill do that instead. Yea if we can try to get a deal going then im all in. Im pretty sure by brining in 4 cars the guy will hook it up. what % are you going with?

 

^if that doesnt work out for you i got mine done at Ziebart (theres a bunch of them) and they are really good and the price wasnt too bad either n it comes with a lifetime warranty

yo wonton and izzy, i'm lookin to get tints too. but one thing i heard was that if you get tints in the winter, you can get bubbles in your film because of the temperature? i don't know if this is true. if it turns out that it isn't true, then i'm definately interested in tinting with you guys together.

 

This was my concern too. It's probably best not to do it in sub zero weather but the guy said its all about curing time. He also said he does mobile service but he needs a large garage, with ample lighting & heat OR he can do it at his shop, forget the town right but I think it's north burbs. Wonton hasn't responded to this yet but my brother in law (maxima) and I are in. PM me.

 

i'm still in...still waiting for the weather to warm up. My colleague at work is still in it with me as well and he's just waiting on me. thing is there this guy in schaumburg, right off of northwest highway and west of arlington heights road that did my cl back in the day so i'm going to go by and see what he can do but that's not for another 2-3 more months.

 

Yeah let me know, I'm willing to test you're guy out too. The only reason I wanted to use my guy is because he was referred to me by the accessories/modifications manager at Motor Werks in Barrington...he has allot of experience and does $100k and up cars often...that's gotta be quality work.

 

The guy that i'm talking about did alot of exotic cars and he is pretty well known around the area. He uses quality tints because i had them before and does really good on prices. I have to wait till the weather warms up then I'll go over and talk some pricing with him. with 4 cars im sure he will give us a discount. Ill keep you updated in a month or two.

mines NBP with ebony interior. Im going 35% all around except for the front windshied.

what are the tint laws in Illinois? I thought you could not have any tint on the front windows unless you had a optometrist/opthalmologist prescription- which could require attending a court date. In Chicago/Cook County, you can receive a ticket for tints while your car is parked.
