A few weeks ago, I asked about local car wash places near the hotel and/or dealership and someone confirmed there is one close. For those of us coming in earlier or later than others, does anyone (i.e., you local KC folks) know the address or name of a close car wash? Thanks and looking forward to meeting you all for the first time.

^^^ Depending on which hotel you're staying at, there is a car wash by the Clarion Hotel. The main road that the Clarion sits on is Metcalf Avenue. The Clarion is basically at 111th & Metcalf. There is a great car wash close there at 103rd and Metcalf. The car wash sits behind the Furniture Deals store. Otherwise, the other hotel (Suburban Extended Stay) does not have a car wash close to it. However, there is a good, little car wash right by Jay Wolfe Acura! There is a McDonalds almost across the street from Jay Wolfe Acura. The car wash is directly behind that McDonalds.

Decided to do some investigative research yesterday. Placed my hand over the upper moonroof switch area sure enough it was warm/hot (after an hour of the car being off). So the HFL isn't shutting off like its supposed to...

You will be fine. Its not as bad as I make it out to be. You have plenty of other adventures awaiting you. BUT remember I made that journey on 64 plenty of times with my car. really 64 is ALOT better than 40.

I just got drove from STL and there were shit loads of bugs....STL has an outbreak of the Cicada bug (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cicada)

So my advice would be to tape the front of your car....
