Window Tint in NoVA

Hey all,

I've gotten several cars tinted in the past; at places such as:

EASTSIDE AUTOMOTIVE
LA Tint of Woodbridge
and some place in Capitol Heights that doesn't even have a real name.

Needless to say, I was dissatisfied with the services they provided; LA tint took off my door panels on my 03' accord and forgot to re-attach the door handles. They also took an extra 3 hours on my car, and then acted like they were doing ME a favor.

Eastside automotive and that Capitol Heights place were FAR from legitimate businesses, and just seemed generally "shady."

Can anyone recommend a REPUTABLE shop in the DMV area that did good quality work? When I went to the above places I was driving lesser quality cars and didn't care too much. This time I want it done right at a reasonable price, and I want a good warranty. The TL is far too nice to have a crappy tint job

I'm looking to get 35% on the front two windows and 20% on the back and two back doors.

I recommend driven dynamics, here in rockville. I believe if u mention acurazine u get a discount. One of the owners owns a 3G Tl as well. I got mine tinted there a while back and recommended many others as well, They were all satisfied with the work. They use 3M film. I got mine for about $165 not sure now..

Last but not least, these guys tint our cars right. They tint the small rear quarter panel windows and 3rd break light where as other tint shops leave a gap. Here's an example of what im talking about:

Thanks for the info guys

Ive heard the films also important. Any idea what's a good company besides 3M? I know they always have quality products but I've also heard that "suntec" is the best..

Another thing is I want to be allowed to watch as they work on my car.

LAtint wouldn't allow me to, and I didn't like it. Especially since they had problems with my door afterwards.

Well, I finally was able to get my car to Driven Dynamics in Rockville and got it tinted this weekend. Everything looks great, the rear quarter panel windows are fully tinted, and the brake light wasn't cut out. I'm very happy with it; It cost me 175$ for the regular 3M tint (not the "non metalized.." My NAVI works perfectly fine with the regular tint..)

My only complaint is I wish I could have gotten 20% all the way around. I went with 35% in the front and 20 in the back. Legal here in VA is 35% in the back, 50% in the front. I figured if there is a 15% difference between the front and back, I would be less likely to get pulled over because to the naked eye, you almost can't tell.

Will post pics later today.
