Alright, So heres the deal. There has been some chatter with getting a meet together to play some paintball. Lets push for 2/28/2010 unless I hear a bunch of people can't make it in short notice. We need at least 10 people so I can book a private group so it would just be everyone on the forum. There are a few places around the area, but PEVS will get you your $ worth and more playing time then others as the field configuration has the shortest walking distance. The rental guns also are a bit better then other fields as it comes with a aftermarket barrel (better accuracy) and HPA (shots are more consistant then CO2).

As far as pricing, they work on a sliding scale. A 3 hour session is more then enough and i'm sure everyone will either be out of paint or tired as hell.


Rental Equipment Prices:
(Rental Includes: Tippmann 98 paintball marker with 14” Dye Precision Barrel, DXS Nitrogen Air System, Full Face Mask, Belt Pack with tubes and 500 paintballs)

10-19 players $54 per person
20-29 players $49 per person
30+ players $44 per person
100+ players $40 per person

Own Equipment Prices for Private Session:
10-19 players $29 per person
20-29 players $24 per person
30+ players $19 per person
100+ players $14 per person

NOTES on paint:
1. If your Renting a gun, you HAVE TO buy paint at the field at $69/case (2000rds). They do this so 1-They know what paint is going through the guns they are renting out and the guns won't crap out by using crappy paint, 2- They know that the paint has been properly stored.
2. If your using your Own Gun, you can only use paint that has the PEVS logo on it as the paintballs are biodegradable. You can either buy them at the field at $69/case (2000rds) or you can goto any of pro shops in the area and pick up some paint. Paint ranges from $40 (low grade) - $69 (premium).





FAQ
Q: How much paint do I need?
A: Depends how trigger happy you are, for the amount of time we are there I don't see anyone using more then a case

Q: Doesn't it hurt?
A:If your a real man, you'll wear a t-shirt. j/k. Its still going to be cold so if you wear a sweater or hoodie, you will be fine. You might even get lucky and get a couple bounces with all the padding

Q: Are those the only guns the have for rentals?A:No, there is also a better gun you can rent for $25 extra. It's a PMR (Proto Matrix Rail).

Q: How are the teams going to be split up?
A: We will split up into teams at random. As we play more games, we will even the teams out so its fair. A fair game is always better then getting owned.

I'm going to need people who are down to come play to put a deposit of $15 per person by 2/21/2010 by 11:59pm. The deposit is going to be returned when you show up. I'll send everyone on the list a PM a day or two before deposits are due as to where to send paypal to. This really sounds like a blast and looks like you really did your homework as this looks very well organized, HOWEVER to be honest I am on severe meet restriction at least till april from the wife

I know this sounds pussyish but I have been to 3 meets since Dec with 2 being outta state + I have 4 kids including a newborn and it being on V-Day weekend wont help either. If i even bring this up to her it will be

yeah, paintball is expensive. As long as your not trigger happy I don't see shooting more then 1500

 

Don't buy a box for yourself . We all just need to go to a local pro shop , and everyone pitch in $20 and buy some White box . $40 for a box of white box at a local pro shop , Cause field paint cost 70 bones , and thats no bueno .
With all of the money we have we throw in for paint . It's soooo simple , I've been playing Paintball for years , I know all the strategies .
I have 1 Spare gun , hopper , and tank . Who wants it just call for it and i got you .

^^well, the only problem is that rentals will have to shoot prem at $69/case. I have a old spyder i'm trying to sell. If its not sold by then someone else can use it, I have everything as well...mask, tanks etc.

Currently thinking about picking up a Vanguard Creed as I am a dealer with APX gear. I get paintballs at dealer cost, but that doesn't help to this because private games = field paint. What you rockin?

Make Sure you get you the 3rd gen , My boy who i always play with has one . Pretty nice.

Yup. Car doesn't do too well on these roads. But surprisingly we still have people playing in this. We had about 20 walk-ons and a few groups that came today.

 

I would love to be a part of this meet, but it's too far for me to drive the CL in Feb, if this was april/may/june I'd be all over it. Def trying to make it to a VA meet this summer sometime. Updated the dates for you spoon

Been there bofore. Nothing great about that place. Might be cheaper but you will have a much better experience at pevs. Check out the pictures on each of the sites and see for yourselves.

 

I haven't been to this place but it looks ok...PEV's its very well know and the fields and setup are in paintball games You might pay a little more but its very well organized, very short walking distance to fields = more game time, and the rental guns are equipped with an aftermarket barrels so your not spraying and praying, they shoot straight and are consistant.

I have a friend who knows a ref there that I met. Can't remember his name though...I know how much your discount is..hehehe

Yeah im not a big fan of total eclipse. Their fields are shit compared to pevs . Plus not that many people go there as much as pevs . Pevs is more well known.
Plus im in love with that turf.
