Hey all. I was wondering if someone can chime in regarding travel time from NYC to DC and vice-versa or from NYC to Harrisburg, PA and vice-versa. Reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to gauge the time it takes from someone who had done those routes rather than rely on incorrect info from Google and/or Bing Maps.

I plan to be in NYC this Saturday and drive out to either of those places after the deal is done to get my car.

im in Rockville, MD (15-20mins from DC) and its about a 4hr drive to NYC. ~3 1/2 hrs from Baltimore MD to NYC

 

Wow, that's quite a drive. I thought it would be at least 3 hours. I'm trying to see if we can make it to my gf's sister's place in Knoxville from our starting point before it gets too late to be out on the road.

nyc to harrisburg shoud be 3-3.5 hours> you can take 78 most of the way.

 

Thanks dallison. How much are tolls usually on the Jersey turnpike? Or can I avoid that all together if I were to leave NYC to get to Harrisburg?

 

I'm from Harrisburg and just drove down to Fairfax on saturday to get wheels and it took me 2 hours- but not traffic.

NYC tolls are only expensive crossing those bridges right?
