Just wondering if there were any upcoming meets in the NoVA area. If not, and if people are interested, I think I can arrange a meet at the Fairfax Corner Shopping Plaza near the Government center.

I spoke to one of the security guards and he told me the area manager was talking about trying to arrange meets there as he is an avid car fanatic himself. There's alot of space for parking and many restaurants as well. (California Pizza, Coastal Flats, PF Changs, Potbelly, Chiptole, Rio Grande...)

When the weather clears up a bit and I have more interest from members, I'll see about getting some solid info on dates and such. Until then, I'll keep tabs on how many other members are interested.

A friend is working out details with a restaurant and bar that will allow us to have meet nights and have special discounts for meet attendees. Friend's of mines are planning to hold meets similar to cars & coffee but this will be in the evenings. I'm sure we could do some Acurazine meets there and all cars are welcome so we could just meet on these days to make it simple since we possibly don't have a big community in the DMV. It's premature now but I will share details and official date of the first meet when it's time. Location will be in Laural, MD by the way.

 

Im always down for a meet. maybe it will motivate me to step my game back up. my tsx is looking homeless.

Last I heard was around March 2014 that this was still happening but every Friday at the Chick-Fil-A/Lowes parking lot at Dulles Town Center in Sterling has car meets for all makes and models. I used to go alot back a couple years back and I'm still surprised that it's still on going. Sometimes the entire parking lot is full of cars and they all separate into their own makes. The last meet there were maybe about 25 Acura's chilling near the back.

As for an actual Acurazine meet, I can still try to arrange this. Unless there's more interest on the forums, I don't want to put the effort into doing this unless the ones interested don't mind a low turn up.

 

There is also those Monday night meets in Springfield. It was at the Hard Rock Cafe but now its been moved to the Park and Ride off of FFX Cty parkway....

I forgot all about it until I saw Denver posting pics from it. By then, I wasnt going to get up and drive back across the bridge. I'll be there next week in my 4G.
