I guess a little about myself... Ive owned maximas 2 4th gens (95-99) 2 5th gens (00-01) 1 5.5 (02-03)... My 02 was originally an auto that ran 13.7 auto n 13.4's 6mt untuned, that was my little unreliably fast project lol... Anyways ive been around honda folks n acura guys pretty much forever, no beefa just was on the nissan side n wanted a change, felt real comfortable going to the TL.. n i am loving it right now

not sure yet... im really familiar with coilover setups but the stock ride is so sweet that i may need to have a ride in different coilover setups to make up my mind lol... if it was my maxima, def some BC's and call it a day lmao... but i think i want to be slammed on coils, wheels and a type S (dont know which one) front bumper and catback lol

Tein Basics are a great ride for the TL to keep the quality of the ride as close to stock as you can. They are a really nice, simple setup. I had them on my Accord and loved them. I currently have Tein Street Advance and they ride great with a nice sport feel and I have them set all the way on stiff right now.

We have a decent amount of meets in the area, especially in the nicer part of the year where you can get a good idea of mods that alot of people with TLs do.

yea i was thinking basics... i still want to be slammed though lol... at least be able to tuck a lil bit of tire if i go with some 18's... but again, the more OEM feel the better... i have owned coilovers before and im not impractical lol... ive owned Ksport (dont like em, too harsh), D2's (same as Ksport but different color thats all IMO) and JIC (i loved em just too damn expensive) lol.. i dont care for a stiffer more sporty feel, if there was a way to dump the car with the exact same OEM feel thats priceless to me lol... as for exhaust i was looking at the RV6 true duals but in all honesty i can see just getting some type S mufflers and keeping that for a while lol... hopefully you guys can change my mind

You arent going to find something that will dump you to the ground and feel like stock, its just not going to happen. The Tein Basics will go decently low, especially if you are on 18s and ride as close to stock as you can get. If its comfort you are looking for, those will be your best option.

Exhaust wise, you will need the Type-S rear bumpers to run the duals, so you might as well just get a used XLR8, ATLP, etc catback because for the cost of the bumper swap and stock mufflers you will be about break even. Or have a shop build you a custom catback for around the same price, plus they can fit some dual mufflers in there without having to swap mufflers.

Lastly, the TB Spacer is the biggest waste of money for any car. Put that money towards some maintenance or some new transmission fluid.

yea, i said the heck with the TB spacer... i dont mind if i have to get a new bumper for those exhaust though, i might be the most picky person in life with exhaust, sometimes my purchase doesnt even make sense, but its more for the look than the function... i would love to see the RV6's in person, youtube didnt do it for me (never does unless its an E60 eisenmann exhaust lol)...

as for coilovers, im not expecting stock ride, ive owned too many sets of coilovers to know thats impossible... just want to go really low with the closest to OEM

Oh really? I guess your work is in Laurel? My work is in Laurel.
Sometimes i take 198 or 495 to 95. I hope i can see you around.

Yeah you will need Type-s bumper for TD exhaust. Basically, exhaust cut out opening on base bumper smaller than Type-s.

My work is at intersection 198 and rt1.
Have you thought about ATLP quad? I was gonna get one if there wasn't option for RV6.

just FYI, if you went with true duals or a type-s quad outlet, you would either need to mod your Base bumper (which you know) and have an type-s Aspec rear lip in another color repainted to match it OR a type-s rear bumper painted to the color of your car then add the type-s aspec lip, again paint matched to the bumper. unfortunately RRP was only available for 04-06. not sure if overall cost is a concern for your modding pleasure.

Ive seen em, not much a fan... In all honesty, the type S quads are exactly my style, rv6 was just the closest with power gains lol...
