wasn't after we separated at the end when we really tore it up, TWAS FUN. though couldn't get lots of pictures of the end coz there was no way

We straight murdered the scene 
I had a blast at blue ridge, fun times...not to mention a couple +140 runs
Now just got to clean the bugs off the bumper, but that's the price for leading the way back...

notice the "custom" in-dash screen.... nice. and the 12" custom work in the trunk all for under a gran (includ hardware) now that's a deal.

Also for everyone especially the ones that went to BR with us.

So basically we took the longest way there....FAIL. But I had fun and I'm sure you all felt the same. Next time though it would make for more time in the mountains and less speed racing down the highways. Sorry for all the confusion and poor organization! and the damn outdated Navi too.

I think there was some confusion about BRPKWY and Skyline. Skyline drive is up in the mountains - just north of the blue ridge parkway. where we met on Afton Mt - you can go north to get on skyline.. or go south to get on blueridge. It isn't that much further north or south - maybe 30 miles. Some of those guys from NoVa didn't know what the heck they were talking about. Otherwise, they never would've gone Manassas to Front Royal on 66 and wasted an hour going west.

^bah....i love twisties...but i really love going fast in a str8 line...that 2 hour drive was more than worth it...thats what you call a cruise...but yea...next time lets go the right way...lol....still had fun...i'll let you know when my girl gets her picks up...and yea lets see those videos.

Not quite. I was told you were leaving manassas around 1:45 pm. An hour later - you guys were passing Front Royal, and headed down 81. This is the route you took:
We didn't depart on our drive until about 4:30pm.
This was the route I would've suggested:
The driving times are a little misleading - but there is definitely a 40 mile difference in routes. 66W from Gainesville towards Front Royal are almost a mess on the weekends (goes from 3 lanes to 2 in Gainesville I believe) and 81 is always crowded. Rt 29 has a lot of cops on it, but there are always cars that roll and the speed limit varies between 45 and 65. I've always been able to go a steady 70-75mph there. There are also tons of gas stations and places to stop for food etc.
the drive will still take about 2 hours. If you guys like the fast highways - then stick to those, but you're going more miles. If you want a slower but more direct route, go 29
My idea for next time would be to get to Charlottesville or areas just north of there to grab lunch just after noon time, and then head out to Afton (30 min away) and go cruising Still, I had a lot of fun - so thanks to J-Charged for setting this up. I just wish I had more time to get to meet some of you. Great pics everyone!

Haha, trust me I'm GLAD you were there leading the way back. I think we got back to manassas in a decent amount of time 
I'll post them soon. She's been busy and she wants to do a little editing with them. Let me tell you some pf the pics on the twisties look good!
