Maryland TL Owners - Snow Tire Question
Don't worry, this is not a thread about which snow tire to get. I've already reviewed those.
Recently relocated to Maryland from Chicago and just bought a manual TLS with stock all-season tires.
After reading a couple posts about how the TLS doesn't handle well in the snow, I started calling a couple tire places in Maryland. Both said they don't stock snow tires because it doesn't snow that much here and people are fine with all-seasons.
My understanding from reading comparisons and articles on snow tires is they're not just for driving in snow, but for driving in cold weather conditions.
The east coast, and Maryland in particular, is way more mountainous/hilly than Chicago. While it doesn't snow here as much, I anticipate driving up and down some of these mountains on a snow-covered highway will not be fun.
So my question to all Maryland TL owners: to buy snow tires, or not to buy?

I live in Baltimore Md if i were you i would not even worry about it since the winter is not that bad. unless you live in the middle of nowhere where the snow plows dont get to you but, even then winter tires wont help you there either since you'll be snowed inn.

Three Wheelin'
In '97 we had an 18" snowfall, followed by 18" more three weeks later. Three days after that we had nine more inches. Since then we haven't had squat! Our typical winters are dull, just 2 or 3 inches here and there. The road crews really keep the roads clean, and there is so much traffic that the roads get cleared up just from use!
