Introducing myself. TSX, S2k. Gaithersburg MD
Hello guys,
I recently picked up a 2012 SE TSX as a daily driver, and I gotta say, I love it! I used to have a Civic before that I drove for 100k, TSX is no where near as boring!
So far I did a suspension upgrade in the form of Tein SS coilovers. I never thought that I'll say this, but with those coilovers the car rides BETTER than stock! Probably has something to do with subpar shocks that come on the car from the factory.
I also have an S2000 that I drive on weekends and to the track. If any of you go to Summit Point, you might have seen it there, I go there quite often.
Anyways, I used to be a mechanic for several years, but desided that I better keep doing it as a hobbie and not as a way to make a living. So I just stick to doing side work on weekends. I usually do maintenance stuff, roll fenders, as well as aftermarket hardware install and so on...
Took the TSX to the track the other day at Shenandoah, the car behaved nicely, but not perfect. Even though Tein SS made is handle quite manageble, stock brakes and all season tires did not behave well. Brakes gave out after 4 laps and there was very limited grip. Maybe next time I'll come with some summer rubber and racing pads
