Damn man sorry to see it and you go. Whats next for you. Also be careful about posting your VIN# on CL i really dont think its necessary until you have a buyer and they need it for the bank.

well, everybody wants the VIN these days for CARFAX and stuff. Just about every add on-line has them listed. really, it's not hard to find a VIN, anyway, but I see your point.

damn! I just made a complete mods list with how much I paid. I've put a recockulous amount of money into this girl.

Already bought my replacement whip. Honda Element. My gawd, it's slow. The funny part is my TL gets better mileage!

I had a response 20 minutes after posting. Wait...another one. gotta go make some money

On stockies now until i get my rim fixed. Went to Firestone and they said my car was too low to get on the rack, so i couldn't get a alignment. I don't think its that low, but guess i need to raise it up a little.

they prob said that cuz they didnt even wanna mess with it and have the slightest chance of scratching it so they prob just said no. Lots of coorperate places will turn you away because they get the buisness elsewhere as opposed to a small buisness owner who will do it for the money.

Well Precat deletes would be ideal but, dont they get inspection and emission tested up there??? Unless you have the extreme no bullshit hook up on inspection I truly wouldnt even bother.

I have had procats on mine and even at the dealership i still pass with flying colors...but Im lookiing to go the Supercharged route so precat deletes are my only option and thanks to TL2Slow im getting a new set of V2's for free

But yeah Morgan is right intake----pre/procats---Jpipe---keep your stock 3rd cat----remove your mid-muffler if you havent already----any exhaust but greddy evo (ask adrian haha)

Navy TL - The shop I go to is Express Auto Center. 9720 Jeff Davis Hwy 23237 (804)743-7473

Ive also had mine done at Mechanicsville Honda with no issues. I think they charged me $80 last time. The shop off Jeff Davis is around the same price unfortunatly.

How high off the ground is your car? They had no problem doing mine, but Im not slammed. If your car can get onto a lift they can do it. They use laser alignment tools.

Those mods shouldnt drown out the cabin noise unless your mufflers are really loud. The j-pipe, precats, and intake shouldnt increase noise drastically.

Na only the exhaust will give you a possible drone. If you rememeber my car in the Aug 1 meet. I acutally got compliments on my exhaust tone because it sounded pretty close to the 350z.

I had Procats----ATLP Jpipe---ATLP Test pipe---removed Mid-Muffler---and stock exhaust.

I wasnt sure which one of those made the 350z sound until I had instpection at the dealership and I had to remove my test pipe and put back in the stock 3rd cat. The nice growl was completely gone and when i put it back it came back.

It sounded 350z ish between 3500-5000 and i got some good compliments and ppl asking what kinda exhaust that is and all. Hope that helps

Thinking about getting the ATLP quad exhaust, so RonJ are you saying not to get the test pipe? You said you had to remove it to get it inspected?

Well the test pipe really is no big deal to remove and replace with your stock cat. It takes about 20 mins to swap out with your car on jacks. A lift would be 5 mins, but since its a yearly task i think its very do able

Yeah, but I don't think it's worth it. I would invest in a High Flow Cat. That way you won't have to do all that work.

All the above.....

My car hasn't been the same since the Great Falls Meet. It still got some umph......but it has its moments. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm thinking the cool weather is playing a big part. Hopefully... And my car is filthy; even my engine bay looks like I haven't touched it in years. Waiting on the warm weather to take a day to get it back in shape.

damn, its been so long since i have been on this forum, i guess a new family and moving to Illinois causes me to have less time to do what i wan't. But since i have been up here, i have curbed two rims due to ice, so now the Acura is parked and i drive the wifes pacifica. And i got rear ended by HM1 right outside the gate. also my cai mount broke and i had to get it replaced. I hope yall are having fun, and who knows, i may be back in VA in about 2 years, but really hoping for Florida next.

D, from my experience there are pros and cons for having an aftermarket exhaust. You have to ask yourself if you want to compromise sound for performance or vice versa. I love the performance difference, but the sound kills me.

If you are set on performance, I would do the precats, j-pipe, High Flow Cat, and resonated catback. Just know that the precats change the characteristics of your car; some negative, but the performance is great! This set up will be very loud, raspy, and droney without having more than one resonator.

If you're worried about sound; you could either keep the stock precats and just add the j-pipe, test pipe and the aftermarket exhaust, or do the precat deletes, j-pipe, high flow cat, and stock exhaust (wish I could have keep this set if I know what I know now.). The only time it will be loud is at WOT.

Not much differences in hps between the test pipe and high flow cat. Maybe 2-3 hps. Not worth it if you don't like loud.

Hope this helps; good luck boss!

^^^^ Yeah Adrian, the sound of the exhaust is what i am worried about. I haven't seen the new ATLP yet so don't wanna put a down payment on something i haven't seen or heard. Guess this will be a slow process haha.

Take ya time bru. I went through alot of time and money to set up my exhaust close to what I want. It's still a tap bit droney at times, but I have the perfect balance between performance and sound.

Make sure you do alot a research on catbacks; that will affect most of the sound. Precats; you either love it or you don't. Since I care more about performance, I love it!
